What is a neck lift?

• An incision is made just under the chin and here the muscles are attached to each other. Excess skin is also removed here.
• The excess sheet has been removed and the turkey neck has disappeared.

The result of a neck lift

The first results of a neck lift is immediately visible if the bandage can be removed after the treatment. After about 1 to 1.5 months, the result of the operation is optimal. Because incisions are made, scars will appear in the beginning. Often they do not stand out because the plastic surgeon places the scars in the skin lines. After all, with a neck lift the ageing of the skin is not prevented, it is a temporary solution. How long it takes before the skin of the neck back to the old level also depends on your lifestyle. What is the difference between a neck lift and a facelift?

With a facelift mainly the cheeks and skin of the neck are lifted. This requires a longer cut that runs in front of the ear in the hairline towards sleep. When lifting the neck, only the skin in the neck and the underlying muscle structures are lifted. With a neck lift, the jawline can be pulled slightly tighter, but this procedure has no effect on the rest of the face.
